CHATILLON 2003
WINEMAKING

As this wine is a blend it is not made to showcase any of the individual characteristics of the varieties. All the varietals were picked ripe with good flavour that the vintage conditions provided. This wine continues to have a base of Semillon and Chenin Blanc, and in this vintage they are supported by the extra crispness of the Sauvignon Blanc and the fullness of the Chardonnay.

SUGGESTED MATURATION
Ideal for immediate drinking whether with a meal or on its own, but it will benefit from some short term keeping. Up to three years from vintage will do no harm, so long as the wine is stored in a cool place. During this maturation the Semillon character will become more evident developing a nutty richness and length.

TASTING NOTE
Mouth-filling, crisp, full-flavoured, medium-bodied balanced dry wine. Displaying citrus flavors and glycerol butteriness with good palate weight. The overall wine quality is unusual in a wine at this price.
