Oscar Robyn • Bottling and Labelling Manager, Assistant Winemaker

Stellenbosch born-and-bred Oscar Robyn ended up in the wine industry by chance, and has grown to love wine through learning about the process of making wine. “At the end of the day you can compare your product to another, and the same varietal from the same area could be worlds apart,” says Oscar. 

Oscar has been working at cellar master Carl’s side for the past 10 years, and is responsible for grape receival during harvest, as well as the bottling and labelling of all the estate wines.

Oscar wants to complete a cooking course, specifically to perfectly prepare and pair dishes to wines to heighten the experience. His favourite dish? A chunky rib eye steak in pepper sauce with a bottle of Shiraz.

In his spare time, Oscar can be found casting his line into local rivers and dams, and he dreams of tigerfishing in Mozambique one day.
