Pinotage 2002

WINEMAKING

In our efforts to create a richly flavoured Pinotage that does not show the characters of the variety that drinkers don’t particularly like, whilst still being Pinotage, much effort and research has gone into this, our second release. We feel that we are on the right course and with what we now know our volumes will begin to grow.

The grapes were picked at full ripeness destemmed and crushed. The wine was on the skins for only four days but had ten pump overs a day. 50% of the wine underwent malo in 100% new French oak.
